Tips for Twitter

Twitter seems to be all the rage right now. But have you wondered how to make your profile stand out, and be noticed? In, The Art of Social Media they provided various tips on how to do so.

1.     Add a Graphic to Your Tweet
On Twitter, you can add up to four graphics in one post. This is a great way to promote your business’ page and provide a visual to your followers.

2.     Tag People in Your Photos
Meet someone new? Tag them in your photo! Not only will they thank you for it, but it also shows your followers who your company is encountering. Also, you can tag up to 10 people without affecting the character count of your tweet. That’s an added bonus to tag people!

3.     Master Your Addressing
Ever wondered how to make various people see your tweets? Here is a simple chart to help you differentiate and tweet like a pro!

Your Tweet
Who Can See It?
“@HappyCEO You are great!”
Only @HappyCEO and people who follow both of you will see it. However, if someone who follows both of you retweets your response, it can spread.
“.@HappyCEO You are great”
(Note the period infront of “@HappyCEO”
Anyone who follows you can see it, and they should intuit that this is a response to @HappyCEO that you mean for everyone to see.
“You are great!”
Anyone who follows me can see it, but there is no way for them to know this was meant as a response specifically to @HappyCEO. People might interpret this as you telling all your followers that they are great.
