Perks of Being a College Student

Although growing up and becoming an adult may stink, there are perks about being a college student. One of the best perks are student discounts at various stores. However, many students don’t realize where they can receive a discount. I decided to give you a list of some of my favorite student discounts. Here they are:

FedEx Office : Using your student ID, you can save 30 percent on documents and 20 percent on shipping services.

Sam’s Club: When signing up for a $40 Collegiate Membership at Sam’s Club students receive a $15 gift card. Not only will you save money by purchasing in bulk, but you are basically paying only $25 for a membership.

Spotify: Want unlimited music that you can listen to offline? Spotify Premium offers no ads and no limits for only $4.99/month.

Amazon: Students can get free two-day shipping for six months, plus discounted Prime membership.

Apple: Need a new laptop? Apple offers education pricing for students and $200 off a new Mac.

The Wall Street Journal: Pay only $1 a week for 15 weeks for access to the Wall Street Journal.

Subway: Visit participating Subway locations to get 10 percent off your total purchase with a valid student ID.

Kroger: At select Kroger grocery stores students get a 5 percent discount on food.

Allstate: Paying for your own insurance? Single, full-time students can receive up to 20 percent off for getting good grades.

State Farm: If you are getting good grades you can save up to 25 percent until you turn 25 years old.

    I am honestly so happy that you posted these. I've been in most of these companies and I never knew about these discounts. These are going to help me save some money. I'm definitely going to be using them next time!

    The game has been changed! I did not know about half of these. The Spotify student discount might half to be used. I am tired of all of these adds on Soundcloud as well as Spotify. They kind of ruin the hype mood that I create for myself.

Like many of you, I have been soaking in the sun and enjoying this great spring weather we have been having recently in Ohio. Coming from a small town, country background one of my favorite things to do is ride four-wheelers when the weather is nice. Spring Has Sprung!

I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely LOVING this spring weather! I enjoy being able to open the window in my dorm to let in fresh air, go for walks around the green monster and of course being able to wear all my spring clothes that have been in the back of my closet for too long. Well the time is here! I decided I would share one of my favorite things to wear during the spring! Birkenstocks! Yes, I know they aren’t the most attractive pair of shoes, but they are actually VERY comfortable. Also, Birkenstock will repair your shoes if something is to happen to your beloved Birks or you have simply just worn-out certain parts of them. They are close to $100, but I think you can justify that price when you see all the great features and benefits that come with them. Vera Bradley Annual Outlet Sale

Last Thursday I honestly thought I had died and gone to heaven. Not really, but I was on very overjoyed and excited! I went to the annual Vera Bradley outlet sale in Fort Wayne,Indiana with my mom. For those of you that don’t know the Vera Bradley sale is held each year with large amounts of their products on sale. My mom had gone for the past several years and I was always so jealous and wanted to go but I couldn’t miss school because of softball. However, this year was finally my turn to go and experience the craze I had heard so much about. We arrived for our 11 a.m. session at 9:30 a.m. We wanted to make sure we had a decent spot in line to avoid a lot of the madness that was going to follow behind. Also by arriving early we could beat a lot of the long lines at checkout. While waiting in line Vera Bradley had various staff members encouraging us to use their hashtag and post pictures.
