Promoting Through Pinterest

Pinterest is the network for consumer retail, the network for crafty do-it-yourself and the network for women (in most cases). Here are some common tips on how to promote your Pinterest account and page according to "The Social Media Workbook 2016."

Real World to Social
Be sure to let others know what is going on with your business through social media. This can be done through insider tips, fun do-it-yourself posts, announcements and store events. Make your content apply to their everyday life, but allow it to relate to your company as well.

Cross-Promotion
Link your website to your Pinterest page, your blog posts to your Pinterest page, your Twitter to your Pinterest page and more.

Email
Send out emails to your customer list and ask them to follow your page or a specific board you have created. Be sure to emphasize what is in it for them. An idea would be to have a contest or give away something for free to motivate them to click rom the email to your page and then follow your page or board.

Pinterest Internal
Don’t be afraid to interact with pages, pins and boards on Pinterest. You can even reach out to other companies and work on a co-promotion to benefit you both.

Pinterest is a great, unique way to interact with consumers. By using these tips I hope you have a better idea on how to promote your Pinterest account and page for your brand.
