Five Questions Every Facebook Ad Must Answer

Recently on Social Media Today, there was an article written about the five questions you need to ask yourself when creating an ad campaign on Facebook. Here they are!

Who is your target audience?
This should always be at the top of your campaign planning session. It is important to know who you are marketing to and what are the demographics. Be very specific and focused because you will result in higher conversation rates with your target audience.

What action do you want them to take?
It is important to set goals of what you want to achieve when marketing any ad campaign. Do you want to drive traffic to your website or social media platforms? Do you want to increase email sign-ups? Asking yourself these types of questions is very important. Decide upon these goals before creating any ad copy so that you can ensure your goal is included in each step you take.

Why should someone buy your service/product?
This is the big one. What benefits will a consumer receive from your service/product? What makes your product/service so unique? This information should clearly be outlined in the ad copy.

Why should they contact you now?
Create a sense of urgency. Research shows that people look at an ad for 15 seconds or less before moving on. You need to provide motivation for the consumer to click immediately.

How much is each lead worth?
Understanding the breakdown of costs until you have a number for each lead is recommended so that you aren’t spending more on ads than you’re likely to gain in subsequent revenue. Have this number in mind while setting your ad budget and time frame for running it.

There are multiple things to consider when creating an ad campaign for Facebook. These key, established questions will help ensure your campaign starts off in the right direction. Have you used any of these questions when creating your own Facebook ads? I would love to hear if so! Comment and share your ideas below!

  1. As a current business owner I think these are great questions to answer. As we have just recently started using Facebook ads I have found that Facebook has a ton of daily users and the number of people you reach by using these are great!
