The Power of Your Profile

Have you ever wondered how to make your profile stand out on social media? Well, there are key concepts that many people don’t do that play an important part in creating an effective profile. So here they are…

1. Pick a Neutral Screen Name/Username
Today many people are trying to be “too clever.” It is best to go neutral. By doing so people instantly know if they have found who/what they are looking for.

2. Focus Your Avatar on Your Face
The best way for people to know that the page is yours is by showing your face. By going asymmetrical, facing the light, and thinking big rather than small are all great tips to keep in mind when taking or selecting a profile photo.

3. Stick with One Picture Everywhere
Now that you have selected the perfect picture, use it everywhere. Your picture your social-media logo.

4. Tell Your Story
Everyone loves a good story, so why not communicate to them what is important on your cover photo? Here you can show possibly your family, friends, hobby, or passion. You can have fun and display more creatively with your cover photo. The best part is, you can change this more often.

5. Finish the Job
 If someone decides to follow you or wish to learn more about you, it is important that you provide a complete profile. Always provide all the information, in case someone wishes to contact you for further information.

Spring Has Sprung!

I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely LOVING this spring weather! I enjoy being able to open the window in my dorm to let in fresh air, go for walks around the green monster and of course being able to wear all my spring clothes that have been in the back of my closet for too long. Well the time is here! I decided I would share one of my favorite things to wear during the spring! Birkenstocks! Yes, I know they aren’t the most attractive pair of shoes, but they are actually VERY comfortable. Also, Birkenstock will repair your shoes if something is to happen to your beloved Birks or you have simply just worn-out certain parts of them. They are close to $100, but I think you can justify that price when you see all the great features and benefits that come with them. Vera Bradley Annual Outlet Sale

Last Thursday I honestly thought I had died and gone to heaven. Not really, but I was on very overjoyed and excited! I went to the annual Vera Bradley outlet sale in Fort Wayne,Indiana with my mom. For those of you that don’t know the Vera Bradley sale is held each year with large amounts of their products on sale. My mom had gone for the past several years and I was always so jealous and wanted to go but I couldn’t miss school because of softball. However, this year was finally my turn to go and experience the craze I had heard so much about. We arrived for our 11 a.m. session at 9:30 a.m. We wanted to make sure we had a decent spot in line to avoid a lot of the madness that was going to follow behind. Also by arriving early we could beat a lot of the long lines at checkout. While waiting in line Vera Bradley had various staff members encouraging us to use their hashtag and post pictures.
